Geometry and Colors

I was going to make a honeycomb type thing. I began with making that hexagonal type shape by combining squares together using the boolean function. Then I arranged them using the array function, but as I played with them I accidently got to this spiral like arm. I then just kept making them until it looked like a hurricane. From there I made a cylinder and my intention was to set on top and then do a boolean difference. Unfortunately, blender was not having that, and I didn't notice that a ton of my empties were also being copied when doing the array. So, when I tried to a difference, it just got all messed up. To try and fix this I then went and joined all of them, thinking that if I did that then it might have an easier time differencing. Alas, no. I also played around with some of the other modifiers just to see what they did like the screw one. However, I really like what I had ended up with. I then made each arm a different color and fin! I ended up with this cool, colorful spiral.
